The Personal Touch

What happened to the personal touch?  By that I mean, why is it that we must always talk to a computer and asked to push a button to get to yet another menu.  Is anyone other than me bothered by this?  Is this a generational thing or is everybody as frustrated as I am?  Isn't it a wonderful thing to make a call to a business and have a real voice answer the phone and actually be able to help you?  I long for the days of people actually carrying on conversations with each other.  Let's face it....email, text, and computers answering phones....what's next?  How about the lost art of letter writing?  I could go on and on.   We have become what I term as the "MOST CONNECTED DISCONNECTED" Society.
Fifteen years ago most people did not have cell phones, now nobody would know what to do without one.  Let's not forget that we actually lived without having the internet at our fingertips.  This technology dates back even a shorter time.   A mere five years ago, most people did not have 24/7 access to the internet.  Does anyone think our social skills are diminishing as a result of all this "GREAT" technology?
Let's make an effort to let go of technology periodically and enhance our interpersonal skills.

Have a wonderful day filled with peace and tranquility and remember
BE YOUR BEST SELF!!!!!!
